General Conditions of Sale

The present General Conditions of Sale (hereinafter CGV) aim to define the modalities and conditions applicable to any online training order placed via the site and the training platform (hereinafter the Platform). By subscribing to a training, the Client acknowledges having taken note and accepted without reservation the present CGV.

DataScientist.fr offers remote professional training combining live sessions led by practitioners currently working in the field with permanent access to a learning platform. The number and frequency of live sessions, the number of hours and the practical work are set out on the descriptive page of each course, which prevails in the event of any discrepancy.

Between live sessions, the courses give access to structured teaching content — videos, hands-on labs and exercises — which the learner follows asynchronously, at their own pace. The access is unlimited in time, which allows each learner to return to the resources as often as necessary. At the end of the course, a completion certificate is issued to the learner, attesting to their participation.

To accompany learning, a chatbox messaging service is available on the platform to allow learners to ask questions and be guided in case of difficulty. The access to these services is conditional on the creation of a personal account on the platform.

The prices of the courses offered by DataScientist.fr are displayed in euros excluding tax (HT). These prices are subject to change, and only the price displayed at the time of the order validation makes the difference.

The payment can be made by credit card in one go, or in three times without fees. It is also possible to benefit from a deferred payment, subject to validation. In the event of support by a laboratory or a company, an order can be issued.

Depending on the course concerned and subject to eligibility, funding may be covered by a public or pooled scheme: OPCO, Aide Individuelle à la Formation (AIF) from France Travail, regional funding, or the employer's skills development plan. Eligibility conditions, the amount covered and any remaining cost depend on the scheme, the course and the Client's situation. Our team supports the Client in putting together their application; the final decision rests with the funding body.

The statutory right of withdrawal and the commercial cancellation or postponement terms are two distinct mechanisms; they apply cumulatively and one does not replace the other.

1. Statutory right of withdrawal. Where the Client is a consumer within the meaning of the French Consumer Code and the order is concluded remotely, they have a period of fourteen (14) calendar days from the conclusion of the contract to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to give reasons or bear any penalty, in accordance with article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code. This period runs from the order date, not from the start date of the course.

The Client exercises this right by sending an unambiguous request to bonjour@datascientist.fr. Reimbursement is made no later than fourteen (14) days after receipt of that request, using the same means of payment as the one used for the order.

If the Client expressly requests access to the course before the end of this period, they retain their right of withdrawal but must pay an amount proportionate to the services actually provided as at the date of withdrawal, in accordance with article L221-25 of the French Consumer Code.

Where the contract is a professional training contract entered into by an individual on their own behalf and at their own expense, the withdrawal period is ten (10) days from the signature of the contract and no sum may be required before the end of that period, in accordance with article L6353-5 of the French Labour Code.

2. Cancellation and postponement at the Client's initiative (commercial terms). Independently of the right of withdrawal above, and once that right has expired, the Client may request cancellation of their enrolment or postponement to a later session, at the latest 14 calendar days before the effective start of the course. Any such request must be made in writing to bonjour@datascientist.fr or via the appointment booking link provided.

After that deadline, or once the course has started, no refund is due under these commercial terms. However, in duly justified exceptional cases (illness, accident, force majeure), a request for postponement or reimbursement may be reviewed by our teaching and administrative team, which rules on its admissibility.

3. Cancellation at the initiative of DataScientist.fr. If a session is cancelled or postponed on our initiative, the Client is offered an equivalent session or, at their choice, a full refund of the sums paid for the cancelled session.

The courses being exclusively offered online, the learner must have an adapted technical environment. This includes a fully functional computer, a stable internet connection, and, if necessary, a headset to follow the courses in good conditions.

The pedagogical prerequisites, such as the mastery of a programming language or technical concepts, vary depending on the chosen course. These elements are specified on each presentation page. It is the Client's responsibility to ensure that he has the necessary skills before registering.

All content is hosted on the platform, accessible after creating a user account.

DataScientist.fr commits to processing the personal data of users in strict compliance with the laws in force. The information collected is used solely for the proper execution of the services provided: access to the course, pedagogical follow-up, assistance and communication.

The data are not transmitted to any third party without the user's consent, except for technical subcontractors necessary for the provision of the service. For more information, the user is invited to consult the Privacy Policy as well as the Legal Notices available on the site.

For any request relating to an inscription, to the use of the platform or to a pedagogical assistance need, the Client can contact our team at the contact page. It is also possible to write to the email address bonjour@datascientist.fr. We commit to responding in the shortest possible time.

1. Internal complaints procedure. Any complaint relating to an enrolment, to the delivery of a course, to its teaching quality or to its invoicing must be sent in writing to bonjour@datascientist.fr, or by post to SAS DataScientist.fr – 128 Rue de la Boétie, 75008 Paris, marked “Complaint”.

The complaint must state the identity of the Client, the course concerned and the subject of the dispute. We undertake to acknowledge receipt within 5 working days and to provide a reasoned response within 30 calendar days of receipt. Every complaint is logged, handled by the teaching management team and tracked until closure, as part of our continuous improvement process.

2. Consumer mediation. In accordance with articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, a consumer Client who has not obtained satisfaction at the end of the internal complaints procedure, or in the absence of a response within two months, may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator with a view to resolving the dispute amicably. Mediation must be initiated within a maximum of one year from the written complaint sent to DataScientist.fr.

The present General Conditions of Sale are subject to French legislation. In the event of a dispute, the parties will strive to resolve it amicably, where applicable through the complaints and mediation procedure set out in article 8. In the absence of an agreement, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts.

DataScientist.fr reserves the right to modify at any time the present CGV. The new conditions will be applicable as soon as they are published on the site, and only the CGV in force at the time of purchase are opposed to the Client.
